Commercial Express is delighted to announce the launch of our new Hair & Beauty product, designed specifically for hairdressers, barbers, and beauty therapists who work in mobile, freelance, home-based, or rented room settings, as well as for individuals and companies owning or operating hair, beauty, nail salons, and studios.
This a flexible material damage and liability (including treatment) insurance product that can be tailored to suit the demands and needs of most hair & beauty businesses. In addition, there is the option to extend cover to include legal expenses and/or terrorism cover.
This new Hair & Beauty product is set apart from other providers, as we offer greater flexibility for Hairdressers and Barbers in the application of our Patch Testing Condition. Where most insurers state that the client must strictly adhere to “manufacturer recommendations”, Commercial Express will cover the client subject to compliance with the tests and procedures recommended by the colourhouses and/or Colourstart (subject to being an approved Colourstart account holder)
The Minimum Premiums for Commercial Express’ Hair and Beauty insurance are as follows:
- Mobile & Freelance / Working from home / Renting a room Insurance: £50 plus IPT + Fee
- Salon and Studio Insurance: £275 plus IPT + Fee

The scheme provides a standard limit of indemnity of £2m for Public/Products Liability, with the option to increase the limit to £5m. Additionally, it includes Treatment Cover with an inner limit of £2m and Employers Liability coverage with a standard limit of £10m.
