With Catering trading season soon approaching, we’ve listened to broker feedback and made improvements to ensure a smoother journey, broader coverage, and greater flexibility for seasonal businesses.
What’s New? – Coverage
- Flexible cover options – Liability in isolation, trailer in isolation, or both under one policy
- Free money cover up to £1,000 (previously chargeable)
- Free stock and contents cover up to £1,000 (previously chargeable)
- Event Cancellation Cover – Automatically included. If an event is cancelled by the organiser*, your policyholder will receive up to £5,000 loss of income
- Portable Generator Cover – Available as an optional extension up to £5,000

What’s New? – Risk Appetite
- The value of the trailer before when a tracker is required is now £50,000. (Previously £25,000)
- No more mandatory Datatag requirements
- Fixed units, portacabins, and steel containers quoted without referral
- Expanded risk appetite – turnover up to £1 million without a referral
- £10M Public Liability included for risks up to £200,000 turnover at no extra cost
- 50% rate reduction on frozen food cover
- A simplified question set, reducing unnecessary referrals
