We launched our Hair & Beauty Product in 2023. The scheme is proving very successful and is going from strength to strength.
The product was designed to provide a tailor-made insurance solution for Hairdressers, Barbers &/or Beauty therapists who are mobile, freelance, home-based or rent a room as well as for individuals or companies that own or operate a hair, beauty, nail salon/studio.
Material Damage and Business Liability covers are available. Sums Insured and limits of liability are selectable. The liability section includes treatment risk, as standard, for an agreed list of treatments and/or therapies. Click here to view the approved list. One of the main benefits of this product is that the treatment lists are extensive and there is no need to have to keep adding on treatments for additional premiums. All approved treatments are included within the standard liability premium rating structure, giving your clients the peace of mind that they need.
To enhance the current offering and to make the product even more flexible, we have introduced the following improvements, which are now available to our valued Brokers:
- Ability to add multiple locations.
- Ability to select a 12-month Indemnity Period (IP) for BI cover rather than just 24 or 36 months.
- Ability to select insurance for tanning salons as a separate trade group. Risks where the client operates a beauty salon as their core trade but also offers sunbed treatments (as an ancillary treatment), continue to remain acceptable. Please note, treatment liability for the use of sunbeds and/or tanning booths is excluded. Standard business liabilities and material damage risks however are acceptable for this trade group.
- Non-standard construction premises such as wooden outbuildings in the grounds of a Therapist’s home can now be considered upon referral.
